Animal Match

Each person will be assigned an animal identity. This identity should be kept a secret. The students then need to find other students that are the same animal. They must do this by making the noise of their assigned animal. There should be no talking among the students, just animal noises. The students should be in a herd of each animal kind at the end.

As a variation, use odd animals. Also put the name of animal on a person\'s back and they have to figure our what it is. They can only ask yes no questions about it.

Breakout

All players join hands and form a circle. One player is chosen as it\' and stand in the center of the circle. His job is to break through the clasped hands or go over or under the hands to escape the circle. If he escapes, the circle drops hands and chases him. The player who tags him becomes the next it\'. There is opportunity for strategy as well as strength when trying to escape. Faking toward one location and diving toward another or rolling to the left or right at the last second can help fool the members of the circle.

Have all the campers sit in a circle. Begin a beat: slap your knees twice, clap your hands twice, and snap fingers on each hand...slap slap, clap clap, snap, snap...continue this steady beat through the game. Then, begin the following chat, each person saying a different line (ONLY speak on the snaps!):

Person 1: Categories
Person 2: Such as?
Person 3: [names a category] cereal
Person 4: [names item in category] lucky charms
Person 5: [names item in category] cheerios
... continue as such around the circle.

If a camper is stumped, she may begin the cycle over by just saying Catergories, but don\'t lose the beat! A camper is out if he/she hesitates or speaks not on the snaps.

Famous People

The first player begins by saying the first and last name of a famous person. The next player must name a person whose first name begins with the first letter of the previously mentioned person\'s last name. For example, if the first person says George Washington, the next player could say, Winston Churchill, and the next player, Christopher Columbus, and so on. When a player is unable to think of a new person beginning with the letter he/she is given, he/she is out. The last person to go out is the winner.

Variations - Limited to living people or dead people or authors or actors, etc.

Ha Ha Game

Activity 1: Have all the campers sit in a circle. One camper starts the game by looking in the eyes of the person next to him/her and saying Ha. Then that camper turns to the next cmper and says Ha Ha. It continues on like this, adding a Ha every time. The trick is...you have to do it without laughing or smiling! And, you have to make eye contact. If a camper smiles or laughs while giving or receiving the Ha\'s, they are out. The game is over when one camper remains.

Activity 2: Have one camper lie on the floor on her back. Another camper lies perpendicular to him/her with his/her head on the first camper\'s stomach. Then, another camper rests /hisher head on the second camper\'s stomach and so on until you have a chain of camper lying on the floor. Then the game is pretty much played as the one above. The first camper says Ha and they are passed on down the line. The only difference is that nobody gets out and you can smile. You are trying to make it down the line without somebody cracking up laughing.

Who\'s It?

Everyone stands in a circle. Pick one person to be the guesser and send them out of the room. Then, pick someone to be IT. IT begins an action (example: snapping, hopping on one foot, etc...) and everyone else copies him/her. Bring the guesser back into the middle of the circle. IT can change the action whenever she wants, and everyone has to copy what she does. The goal is for the guesser to guess who is IT.
