Group Drumming Workshops
Bring a Unique Music-Making Experience to your Staff and Campers!!
What is Group Drumming?
Group Drumming is a recreational music-making activity that utilizes hand drums and percussion instruments allowing each participant the opportunity to express his or her unique rhythms while at the same time contributing to the group song. Each group drumming program incorporates basic hand drumming technique, rhythm based exercises, and is rooted in non-judgment, community, self-expression, spontaneity and play. Emphasis is placed on the process of making music together rather than on a final product. No previous drumming or musical experience is necessary, and instruments are provided by the facilitator.
A Group Drumming Workshop:
• Provides an outlet for self-expression
• Builds group cohesion
• Helps to release stress
• Develops leadership skills
• Is a fun and empowering experience
Group Drumming Workshops can be integrated into your:
Camp Programming
Staff Training and Development
Theme Day
Special Events
Each group drumming program is adapted to meet the needs and nature of your group and drumming is suitable for people of all ages as well as levels of physical and developmental ability.
