For campers, the Easter Seals Nebraska weekend camps will mean a chance to be away from their parents, socialize and experience new things.

And for their families, it could be a much-needed break.

Easter Seals Nebraska will offer respite weekend camps in Central Nebraska starting next month.

The camps are open to children and young adults with disabilities of all types, said Mike Tufte, the camp, respite and recreation director for Easter Seals Nebraska.

The first camp is scheduled for Nov. 9 through Nov. 11 at Timberlake Ranch Camp near Central City, while others will follow at the same location Feb. 1 through Feb. 3 and April 11 through April 13.
