Summer Camp Counselor Hopeful Can't Post

I've always wanted to work at a camp ever since I attended a residential camp when I was younger. However because of the pressures of my studies and the competitive job market, I've held business internships for the last two summers, which didn't allow me to follow my passion. This summer I plan to study abroad in London for a month (mid May to mid June). Because of this I will finally be able to pursue becoming a camp counselor. Here are some of the highlights which I feel make me a strong candidate:

- Vice President of the Class of 2009 at Notre Dame (freshman and sophomore year). This position has helped me learn how to manage people as well as create and hold various events. I plan on running for President of the Junior class in early March.

- Travel Soccer Coach - 3 years. I coached a competitive soccer team comprised of all kids. When I began coaching they were age 8 and when I left for college they were 12. I think this displays my ability not only to work with kids but also to motivate and create a winning team.

- Notre Dame Dean's List (every semester since I've attended the university). I believe this shows I take my studies seriously and, when paired with my involvement in ND Student Government, that I have good time management skills.

- President of my High School Student Body as well as Captain of the Varsity Soccer Team (4-year varsity starter). I think this displays my ability to relate to different groups of people as well as command respect from various types of individuals.

Many of my other skills and qualifications can be found in my resume, including an unofficial transcript with grades of my past three semesters. If you or anyone you know is interested in hiring a counselor for the 2007 summer, please feel free to contact me via my email rreish@nd.edu. Thank you.
