Smoky Mountain Language Camp is located in Cocke County Tennessee, just outside a little community called Cosby. We are approximately 18 miles from Gatlinburg, Tennessee and situated next to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and the Cherokee National Forest.

Smoky Mountain Language Camp combines the opportunity to learn or improve your language skills while participating in many traditional SMAC adventures. We are accepting applicants for the 2008 summer session. Sessions are available for ages 12 – 18. Native Spanish speakers will deliver Spanish instruction and native English speakers will deliver English instruction. Each day will consist of 2 hours of traditional class, followed by one hour of conversation practice and an hour of language application as participants participate in an adventure activity using their ‘new’ language.

Campers enjoy a full adventure experience as we cave, hike, backpack, tube, canoe, rappel, rock climb, ride horses, white-water raft, and participate in outdoor and naturalist programs. Our programs are tailored to the individual skills and ability levels of the campers so everyone can enjoy the high-adventure activities. We can also keep it a little more traditional for those not seeking a thrill a minute.

Our camp counselors are outdoor enthusiasts that love working with youth. We maintain a 4 to 1 ratio of campers to counselors.

We will be happy to send you a brochure that provides more details about our camp and the camp sessions. If you have any specific questions or need additional information, please call us at 770-427-6054 or Toll Free at 1-866-876-CAMP.
