Description:

Oasis is a team of experienced educators and youth serving professionals with unique expertise running innovative, safe summer camps. Working with schools, public agencies and other youth serving organizations, Oasis operates in over 390 locations throughout the tri-state area.

Central Park in Manhattan above 96^th Street contains ball fields, basketball courts, climbing walls, an Olympic sized swimming pool and various outdoor education resources. Oasis programs also have a unique outdoor education component that includes everything from environmental studies to orienteering.

Oasis Downtown on Mahattan's Lower East Side is a day camp specifically geared towards children 4-8 years old giving younger children the opportunity to play and learn in the great outdoors without ever leaving Manhattan.

Most families agree that the defining characteristic of Oasis is our staff, a mixture of teachers, coaches, college students, and program specialists. Our adult to child ratio is 1 to 5. Each group of 15 children has 2 group leaders. An additional staff person, a specialist, runs each specific activity in which the children participate. A team of Division Leaders act as supervisors and every site has a nurse or EMT as well as a team of certified lifeguards.
