NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts offers summer conservatory training for high school students at three renowned professional studios: (1) the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, famous for the “method” acting technique, classes include television/film, speech, and movement; (2) the Experimental Theatre Wing (ETW), including contact improvisation, character-based scene work, and extended vocal technique; and (3) musical theatre performance at the Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP21), including acting, dance, and vocal techniques. Similar courses in Dublin and Paris. A summer high school program in dramatic writing is also available, where students train in the basics of both screenwriting and playwriting.
