| An Exploration of Foreign Policy, International Relations and Global Politics
* 4-Week Session
* July 1–July 28

* Located at the University of Pennsylvania
Are you interested in global politics and the United Nations? Have you ever imagined what it would be like to be the Secretary-General someday? Or maybe you’re already a student of international relations and feel ready to challenge yourself at an advanced level.
Our Model United Nations Summer Program at the University of Pennsylvania will give you the experience, knowledge and skills to put your plans on the fast track. Working with students from across the country and around the world, you will gain a unique perspective on international affairs and a better understanding of how to achieve solutions through consensus and compromise.
Whether you ultimately aspire to a position of influence in the global arena or simply want more perspective on the New York Times “International” section, our program will broaden your world view and inspire your future ambitions.
Essential Experience for Tomorrow’s Leaders
Our program will introduce you to the dynamic field of international relations and equip you with the critical skills needed for future global leadership.
During the four-week session, workshops and simulations will be supplemented by visits from guest speakers and university scholars, including international dignitaries, members of foreign embassies, and renowned authorities in the field of international studies and diplomacy.
Debate, public speaking, research and presentation workshops will help you develop the skills you need to be an effective diplomat. Tutorials will ensure that you feel comfortable in the kinds of situations you might encounter as a future global leader. In addition, you will enjoy field trips to Embassy Row in Washington, D.C., and the United Nations in New York City, a variety of activities and off-campus excursions, as well as social life in and around University City and Philadelphia.
