Spectacular Sports & Games Description

This camp is for the camper who loves to spend his or her day being ACTIVE and having FUN! Spectacular Sports & Games camp is also for the child that does not want to attend a specific Headfirst Sports Camp, but would rather participate in a variety of sports and games.  All week, campers will enjoy and play all sorts of indoor and outdoor games and sample a variety of sports and activities such as swimming, kickball, wiffleball, and capture the flag.  We also introduce games that challenge the memory and mind as well as reflexes, including games that are easy to learn but challenging to master. Swimming, outside games, indoor games, card games... you name it, campers will do it!  Campers will mix it all up with scavenger and treasure hunts, an out-and-about tour of the Cathedral Grounds and samplings of traditional gym class games.  Overall, this camp will foster leadership and teamwork all while encouraging campers to make new friends.  By the end of the week, campers will have a variety of fun-filled stories and games to share with their friends and family.

Magical Mystery Camp!

Magical Mystery Camp Description

Did you ever wonder how that magic trick was done?  Well here’s your chance! Campers will learn some of the greatest "tricks of the trade." Coins will disappear, ropes will be cut and restored, aces will fly out of the deck and campers will levitate before your eyes!  Each session, campers will gain knowledge of how and why magic works and learn the basic techniques of sleight-of-hand as well as the many theories behind magic.  Each morning, campers will receive the "trick of the day," along with vivid performances by their counselors, helping campers imagine and create their own unique ways of showing off their magic tricks to family and friends.  David Blaine, David Copperfield and other modern magicians and their awe-inspiring performances will be introduced and enjoyed.  On Friday, families and friends are welcome to join us for a magic show you will never forget! 

Fiesta! Spanish Fun

Fiesta! Spanish Fun Description

Fiesta Spanish Fun Camp will provide campers with an introduction to the many cultural aspects of Spanish and Latin-American culture and traditions including Piñata making, Dancing, Art, Drama, Music, Outdoor Games and Fiestas.  Campers will learn to speak and understand Spanish phrases by engaging in a variety of hands-on activities.  After a brief exploration of Spanish-Speaking countries, campers will then "travel" throughout various cities and discover these remarkable parts of Latin America and Spain.  Through songs, food, crafts, Spanish videos and games your child will learn basic vocabulary, learn about Hispanic culture, be able to use greetings and respond to simple questions - all while having a faulous time.  Camp will conclude each week with a "Fiesta Friday" that will include tacos, piñatas and prizes!
