Description:
College Admission Prep Camp is a fun yet intensive program designed to help junior and senior high school students succeed in the increasingly competitive and often mystifying college admission process. At CAPC, campers take seminars in SAT preparation, essay writing, college counseling, interview skills and study skills and have the opportunity to live in campus dorms to get a taste of college life.
Our 10-day session is held at UC Berkeley and U. San Diego.
CAPC Intensive, a more advanced, 18-day program is held at UC Berkeley, Tufts U, and UCLA. The Intensive program includes extra hours of SAT Prep, and students write three rather than 1 personal statement essay. At CAPC students will meet with one college counselor to narrow their college search and discuss steps to raise their chances of acceptance, and at Intensive they will meet with two different college counselors. At CAPC Intensive, students will also have the opportunity to tour nearby colleges and go on an exciting full-day whitewater rafting excursion!
For those who would prefer a day-only session, we also offer CAPC Day at Palo Alto High School near Stanford University.
For entering 9th and 10th graders, our 8-day Prep Camp Excel offers PSAT Preparation, essay writing, time management and study skills to prepare students for success in high school. Students will master the 5-paragraph essay, have daily course blocks in math and verbal PSAT prep, and attend seminars in high school planning, presentation skills, time management, note-taking and other study skills often overlooked in the high school curriculum. |
