360 Student Travel offers students a 21-day program in Belize. This program features 80 hours of community service and recreational activities such as mountain biking, hiking and snorkel the Belize Barrier Reef. Have fun while making a difference.
We work with dedicated service partners such as: The Toledo Ecotourism Association, Monkey Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, and Friends of Nature. Locations visited include Placencia Village, San Miguel, Monkey Bay and Caye Caulker.
Community Service the “Westcoast Way” is so much more than “just” volunteering. We combine helping make the world a better place with exciting travel highlights. Think of is as a reward for all your excellent work! And remember “all work and no play” is no way to spend the summer.
For your convenience and consistency of the group experience, all group members stay at the same location – we do not have any home-stays. We partner with established organizations that have a long history of achieving their mission and integrating volunteers into their efforts.
Groups are generally 12-24 participants and most come by themselves, which we strongly encourage. A maximum of 2 may come together. Participants must be prepared for our program. Service days may last as long as 8 hours of physical labor, come rain or shine.
A certificate recognizing the total number of hours of service and listing the projects accomplished is issued upon program completion. We complete 80 hours of total service.
There are many reasons to visit Belize, yet this trip is not for everyone. For the adventurous traveler, the following are just more reasons to go: it is tropical – that means hot; indoor plumbing is not usually available; you sleep with mosquito netting in your cabin or lodge, the food is different, showers are more often cold. For those who choose to join us, theses three weeks promise an experience and memories to last a lifetime.
