The Adventures Canada program is designed to integrate scientific, technical, and environmental issues through a relevant and stimulating course of study. Investigating the principles of science and environmental studies, under the guidance of an Ontario certified teacher, students will earn a Senior Science credit (IDC4U) while enhancing leadership skills and exploring career interests!
Beginning this summer, students have three course options to choose from: “Global Warming” in St. John’s, Newfoundland; “Ecotourism” in Haliburton, Ontario; and “Ocean Educations” in Victoria, British Columbia. To apply, students must be eligible for a Senior Secondary science credit, have successfully completed a Grade 10 academic science course and one college or university preparation course.
Adventures Canada was developed to offer an alternative to traditional programs. The natural resources and dynamic course locations form a unique backdrop for enriched learning and critical thinking. This learning process is balanced further by various adventure based activities, some of which include canoe expeditions, hiking, mountain biking, SCUBA instruction and more. Each course and location offers specific program features, for more information on the Adventures Canada program please visit our website. |
