Betsy-Jeff Penn's Summer Camp Programs offer age appropriate, small group experiences in an enjoyable, noncompetative environment. Throughout the week, campers enjoy daily activities with their coed groups. These include swimming, canoeing, archery, craft, environmental exploration, and more. The older groups participate in Teambuilding and High Ropes activities. Evening Programs consist of Talent Show, Land/Water Sports, Campfires, Award Ceremony, and Dance.

 

The Environmental Education Program is offerred during the Spring and Fall and is open to schools, scout groups, church groups, home school groups, etc. The program focuses on Elementary age students. Groups can plan a one day, two day, or three day program. Classes meet North Carolina's curriculum standards.

The Soaring Thru Spaces program is our teambuilding and high ropes program. It is also offerred during the Spring and Fall and is open to schools, church groups, scout groups, corporate groups, etc. Participants must be at least 10 yrs of age.

Resident Camp Ages: 8-14 Fee: $395 Traditional camp activities including horseback riding, canoeing, swimming, archery, craft, climbing wall, nature exploration, and more. The Adventure Program offers two great options for youth ages 12-14. Adventurers focus on outdoor living skills. They learn about compass/orienteering, global positioning systems, and geo-caching. The Trekkers go on an off-site canoeing and rock climbing trip. Do NOT have to be in 4-H to attend.

Day Camp Ages: 6-14 Fee:$200/session

Day Camp is offerred Monday through Friday and consists of five 2-week sessions. Activities include swimming, horseback riding, archery, canoeing, fishing, environmental exploration, and more. 10-12 yr olds participate in High Ropes activities as well. Each session has a theme and corresponding field trip and optional overnight camp-out. 13-14 yr olds participate in a unique program that allows them to develop their leadership skills and be a mentor to younger campers. They will also enjoy a canoeing and rock climbing trip during their session.
