Since 1970 the Greek Summer Program has brought 35 teenagers a year to Greece to be part of a once in a lifetime experience, living and traveling through one of the most ancient cultures on Earth. Participants live with host families in a small village where they complete a much needed community service project.  Projects range from building roads and parks to environmental conservation projects. The group also travels around the country to see the historical sights of Greece, the birthplace of mythology, theater, poetry, and a tour of the scenic Aegean Islands. The trip culminates with a two-day climb to the peak of Mt. Olympus, the highest peak in the Balkan region and home to the Olympian Gods. Of the more than 1,000 alumni that have participated in Greek Summer, most consider it one of the most important growth experiences of their lives.
